They're too big & heavy, the control inputs generally suck.

Nintendo got it right, if your device is (> 1 lb), it's too heavy to be a "REAL Handheld" gaming device.
The Steam Deck & their clones should've gone "NetBook" and just told the customer to BYOC (Bring Your Own Controller) and be done with it.
