Can't wait.
Technically it's only 6 more months.
What is up with all of this quality games being released in the Spring? Not that I'm complaining...

How do you figure?
We are in April 2010 (At least where I am) the game won't come out til April 2011, that's a year where I come from.

I think he means it's only 6 more months that we have to wait, than we would if it was coming out in November.
I read somewhere Cliffy and Crew said "if there were a Gears 3" the game would be ready by November, so that means it will just be sitting there waiting for April to come, Which IMO SUX!!!

I'm willing to bet that that was a bit of an optimistic estimation. I highly doubt they'd keep a completed game under lock and key for 6 months. Gears is an established franchise, with an established fanbase, so they can't be too afraid of release date competition. In fact, given that there are a number of "big name" games that are scheduled for a Q2 2011 release, they'd probably face less competition in Q4 this year.
I agree with it having an established fan base and all but from my understanding it wasn't Epic's choice it was M$'s.
they don't want it overshadowing Halo: Reach and Natal.
They also don't want the holiday season too crowded![]()
I personally don't see what the big deal is, if you want something you will buy it, sure there are cases where folks have to buy one or the other but M$ doesn't care about our wallets, they have proven that time and time again.

I suppose that's a fair point, although I won't be buying either Natal (gimmicky, and doesn't impress me in the slightest), or Reach (never really been a big Halo fan).
I'm not entirely sure what big releases we're supposed to be getting in Q4, aside from Fallout: New Vegas, and the aforementioned Natal and Reach. Wheras in early 2011 they'd probably have to contend with Killzone 3, Resistance 3, and Dead Space 2, off the top of my head. So if they want to avoid a cluttered release schedule, they'd be better off either taking the risk and releasing it in Q4 this year, or in Q1 of 2011.They also don't want the holiday season too crowded![]()
I suppose. I mean, personally, I have enough disposable income to be able to pick up whatever I want most of the time, but I do know a few people who have to make choices between one or the other.I personally don't see what the big deal is, if you want something you will buy it, sure there are cases where folks have to buy one or the other but M$ doesn't care about our wallets, they have proven that time and time again.
Dead Rising 2 8/31/2010
LA Noire 9/1/2010
Brink 9/7/2010
Medal of Honor 9/30/2010
True Crime 9/21/2010
FEAR 3 10/1/2010
Ghost Recon Future Soldier 10/1/2010
I saw the trailer for Future Soldier and I was a bit disappointed. I think they're taking it a little too sci-fi for me.
