Garak and Bashir

haha this is funny. IMO Garak seems to be a little interested in Bashir maybe because he is a spy and he's feeling that Bashir is a promising spy too just like how Sloan is interested in Bashir but it do feels odd :D

No, no... no.

Garak wants to tap it.

Even though I am rather a Garak/Bashir shipper, I thought Ziyal/Garak very sweet ... I found him being somewhat reticent towards Ziyal not so much an indication that he was 'gay,' but that, on some level, he was a gentleman. Ziyal was younger, inoccent in many ways and probably very sexually inexperienced, if she had any experience at all (I doubt there was much time for/possibility of romance in that Breen prison camp, or when her father took her to Cardassia). I'm sure Garak was attracted to her but I also think that he would have taken things very, very slowly.

I agree on the Z part..... that's how I saw it too..... though in the beginning, he also kept his distance due to thinking she was sent there by Dukat to kill him.

Agreed, and in the episode Cardassians, they show this very well, which I also clued into more just when I saw it last night. From the beginning, he was sizing him up for some reason.... perhaps because he was bored.

But then in the above episode, Bashir stands up to Garak and shows he has potential and after exposing Dukat's plans, you see this look on Garak's face like a teacher being proud of his pupil..... then later on, while taken aback by Bashir's holosuit program of a 60's spy on Earth, Bashir showed him that he was more then capable and done things even he wouldn't have thought of.

Not to mention when both of them were captured by the Dominion and needed to escape.

Which lead to Bashir coming to the point where he takes on Section 31 and almost took down one of the most secretive, oldest and one of the most dangerous counter-operative organizations in the Alpha Quadrant..... at the very least, Bashir defeated one of Section 31's best operatives, saved Odo and provided the key to saving the Alpha Quadrant and ending the Dominion War.

Not too shabby.
