Should I get God of War 1 now, or will that game be pretty dated in the graphics and controls now that it's so old?

Should I get God of War 1 now, or will that game be pretty dated in the graphics and controls now that it's so old?

Not sure which version you're thinking of getting, but I recently picked up the PS3 "Classics" edition that has 1 and 2 on the same disc and according to the packaging the graphics have been rendered for higher quality. It doesn't quite match the quality of say, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 but it does look really nice for an older game.

I'm playing it on PS2 now. It looks pretty good for a 2005 game. I hate the controls and the camera though. I can't tell you how many times I instinctively hit the right stick to fix the broken camera and ended up doing a roll off somewhere instead!

You can get a free game up to $60 at Toys 'R Us website when you get the Legendary Edition of Halo: Reach. You can also get 20% with the code 940710. I might get that and regular Reach to flip around on Craigslist for $50.

I just discovered a better idea: you can can also return the LE for $150 Gift Card at Walmart. So you pretty much get paid $30 for a free copy of Halo: Reach.

Next week at Toys R Us is their every-now-and-then buy 2, get 1 free sale, which is really only a 33% off each title sale but is still good if you buy three budget titles or three full price titles that just came out recently (that's how I got Uncharted 2).

Actually, I think I'm still going to keep the Legendary Edition anyways. The materials seem pretty cool.
