Games deserving of sequels

Alpha Centauri (1999, PC)

They made an expansion pack that was a pseudo sequel, but it would be nice to have a remake with modern graphics and a halfway decent AI (along with changes so it isn't the same game, obviously). There would have to be some pretty good generosity between Take2 and EA for that to happen, though.
I guess if they can revive Colonization with a modified Civ4 graphics engine and interface, they could do the same with the new Alpha Centauri... if any legal wranglings are sorted out.

I'm pretty sure Firaxis reacquired the rights to Colonization when they acquired Pirates. I guess they didn't get SMAC.

Firaxs, and for that matter, Civ4, deserves a right SMAC-ing. :bolian:

Probably the most deserving game is Shenmue 2. Way to leave people hanging Sega. Too bad the odds of 3 ever coming out are zero.

Monkey Island

King's Quest

Space Quest

I rue the death of the 'Clicky Adventure' genre :(

Oh, and also X-Wing. Heck, just remake the original X-Wing and TIE Fighter (again) for modern computer equipment, that would probably be good enough.

Whoever said Privateer was also spot on.

Oh, and back to 'Clicky Adventure Games', Star Trek: 25th Anniversary and Star Trek: Judgment Rites were fantastic back in the day. Could use some more of that.
Your ideas...newsletter...blah blah. ;)

Also, the Zork series, the Enchanter series, and the Planetfall series.

The Maniac Mansion series.

Conquests of Camelot. Sam and Max. And Master of Magic - a real sequel, not just a mod for Civilization.
