Spoilers Game Of Thrones’ Spinoff ‘House Of The Dragons’ ordered to series

Enjoyed this episode much more than its predecessor. Emma D’Arcy gave a towering performance and generally there was a great mix of drama, humour and even horror of a sort. The Velaryon family are looking quite wholesome compared to how the Targaryen lot are getting on. Same to see a few faves bite the dust this early but the stakes are pretty high when you play the game of thrones.

Hey, we finally found Otto and just in time to lose his head....oops! Oh, hi there, Alicent! Awwwwkard...

I will say, while I wasn't engaged with most of the episode (Larys and Aegon hijinks aside), Emma D'Arcy and Matt Smith were stellar in all of their scenes, especially during Rhaenyra's heart-wrenching grieving over her son's body and the final scenes of the episode.

Pity Aemond doesn't appear to be dead but if this means more witchy shenanigans from Alys, then it might be worth it.

Just when Alicent was coming around to some sense, that's going down the toilet now. I'm actually looking forward to an episode for the first time in a long time. If only a little bit.
