Gaith does Wonder Woman

Is this suit concept on the right track?

  • Yeah. The comics suit looks ridiculous and will never fly on the big screen.

  • No, the comics suit is fine! Which is why there've been so many WW movies already!

We need an actress who looks like this:

I haven't read the whole thread. Body-wise that is more like Cathy Lee Crosby that Linda Carter, Crosby was in the 1974 version of Wonder Woman (which no one saw), the movie had a lot more subtly that the series. You never saw Crosby in the costume until the end. The villain was (of course) Ricardo Montalbán.

Can you blame them?

I'd put it off as long as possible too! ;)

I really loathe that movie, though Ricardo Montalbán always fun, too blonde and the outfit, really stupid. Not to mention de-powered... Agent Diana.

Good news:bolian:
The Producer of the X-Men franchise Lauren Shuler Donner wants to produce a Wonder Woman film:):
"I'm campaigning to produce Wonder Woman for DC and Warners," Donner said on June 24 in Burbank, Calif. at the Saturn Awards. "They don't want it, but I just think she's the greatest character. She's right up there, as you know, with Superman and Batman, the three of them. I want to produce Wonder Woman."

I hope they will let her do it:) I am all for it personally:techman:

With the issue 600, Wonder Woman gets a new costume, designed by Jim Lee:

Its not bad, I think:shifty::) Not sure about the jacket, though.
Ofcourse, the orginal costume is very iconic, so getting used to this might take some time..and Im sure the fan reaction will be mixed.
Im happy though that I ordered the comic..I look forward of reading it..and with JMS on the helm, its a good place for me start reading:bolian:
Here is more about the "new(er) direction" of WW and interview with Straczynski:

I was going to post this...thanks for doing it for me. I like her costume but am a little confused and not sure I like JMS's direction for Wonder Woman. It will be interesting to see if she interacts with the DCU at large in later issues or if DC is somehow isolating her due to her new timeline.

The costume does nothing for me. As I said elsewhere, it looks like something you could but together by shopping at Wal-Mart. Boring and generic.

Your welcome:)
I think this new direction makes the comic more accessible to new fans like me.
Now, I know that is will upset many "old fans" that have been following the book for years and years, but the fact is that DC Universe is a pretty darn complex place often for new readers:confused: and that can scare most of them away.
I hope the new readers will come on board and the sales will go up:):techman:
And the older fans should not drop the comic, without reading the JMS stuff for few issues at least:cool:
Here is still one pic of the new costume in action:

I'll still be checking out his run. Honestly though I'm more excited about his "Superman" run than his "Wonder Woman" run.

Not big on the new costume, but with a few tweaks I could dig it. Man I hate doing 'shops with a mouse:

I like your idea, 'cept for the silver parts. Gold looks better imo.

All in all, not bad as a change of costume. Kind of modern, with 80s influence. I can dig it.

I tend to prefer silver, so I wanted to see how it would look. I forgot to set my undo button to go back further than the default though so once it was done I didn't want to bother turning it all gold again. Either way would work for me.
