Future of the Q

If Q, and the other members of the Continuum can easily travel through time, then why in certain episodes, like in "Hide and q", does he express that humans could one day become at least as great as the Q, wouldnt he be able to find out? Since it has been shown that there are future humans, (Daniels, Braxton, timeships, etc), then wouldnt one possible future human beings become q-like or not, and be able to travel back in time, and be in the normal Star Trek-universe?

It could be that the Q see multiple timelines, multiple futures. In some, the Human race surpasses the Q in the distant future, in others the Human race doesn't survive past the 24th-Century. Any one of them could be valid to the Q.

Always changing is the future...not necessarily set in stone, IMO.

Well one of the benefits of having power is to use it right away to ensure that others don't get it for our sake or his. Though he did try to turn Riker into a Q and carted away the Q girl. The next series should be called Star Trek : Q. He doesn't seem to be happy with the power. He's a blind alley in evolution. I think will Decker is under there and he created the Borg in the future. IMO. Picard should have killed him when he had a chance when he became Human. But for Picard to totally dismiss him is curious. It seems like Starfleet's whole purpose and they should be interested in it unless they secretly are and Picard is deliberately treating him like a child to take away his desire to play with us so dangerously.
