Given what we know of the Timeline from 2385 onwards with the failed Romulan evacuation, Federation isolationism, etc how do we think the Prodigy kids careers worked out?
2383: They find the Protostar. Dal R'El (age 17), Gwyndala (age 17), Jankom Pog (age 16), Zero (age undetermined), Rok-Tahk (aged 8), Murf (age indeterminate); Various adventures;
2384: Battle of living construct weapon, destruction of the Protostar; kids accepted into Starfleet as Warrant Officers; Voyager-A, Solum takeover; Crusher; Time Travel stuff;
2385: Solum aftermath; Attack on Mars; USS Prodigy; They are Ensigns.
2387: Lt JG?
2389: Lt?
2392: Lt Commander?
2395: Commander?
2401: Captain's? - esp after the events of Frontier Day?
I could see Rok-Tahk getting deep into science and not really rank advancing beyond Lt Commander, with no interest in the Bridge Test.
Dal is going to be a Captain one day, he took an important step at the end of the show recognising he needs to learn, but I could see him get to Captain before 2401. I think Dal and Gywn do not get together, but remain really close friends.
Gwyn will still beat Dal to the Big Chair given her abilities. I figure she is there 5-10 years before Dal. Maybe Dal is her XO. I can see a career in diplomacy in later years.
Murf is harder, I cannot see him becoming a Captain unless a method is found for him to communicate properly. I can see him as Head of Security on Gwyn's ship though.
Jankom is going the Scotty route- finds a ship he utterly loves and refuses to leave, becoming a Captain in Engineering or he might into cybernetic design, esp once the Cube becomes available to Starfleet to study; maybe stalls at Lt Commander?
Zero, presuming they resist the dangled lures from Intelligence I could see coming, likely ends up an XO somewhere, with a sideline in designing containment suits, and holo-mysteries.
