Funny/Memorable Favorite DS9 Lines.

^Amen, BrotherBenny.

Now, here's another more serious scene, from the end of "Inter Arna...":

Bashir: Are you expecting applause? Have you come to take a bow?

Sloan: (Shakes his head slowly) I just wanted to say "thank you".

Bashir: For what--allowing you to manipulate me so completely?

Sloan: (shrugs) For being a decent human being. That's why we selected you in the first place, Doctor: We needed somebody who wanted to play the game, but...who'd only go so far.

(From this point on, for a while, Sloan looks a little sad..almost regretful....)

When the time came, you stood your ground. You did the right thing. You reached out to an enemy, you told her the truth...you tried to stop a murder....

The Federation needs men like you, Doctor: Men of conscience--men of principle...men who can sleep at night.

You're also the reason Section 31 exists. Someone has to protect men like you...from a universe that doesn't...share your sense of right and wrong.

Bashir: Should I feel sorry for you? Should I be weeping over the burden you're forced to carry in order to protect the rest of us?

Sloan: (smiles, and gets up) It is an honor...to know you, Doctor.

(I love how, for one brief moment after Sloan's line, Julian's expression seems to soften, and change into what looks like begrudging respect....)

Oh, man...XD DS9 had so many amazing moments, I don't know where to begin.

First of all, there's that scene with Weyoun, Dukat, and SIsko in the episode Ties of Blood and Water, episode 05x19. Dukat attempted to poison Ghemor, but Sisko caught him and brought him and Weyoun the poisoned beverage. While Sisko and Dukat are quibbling over the drink, Weyoun takes it and quaffs the entire thing down. The following conversation ensues:

Weyoun: Oh my, that is quite toxic, isn't it?
Dukat: Are you insane?
Weyoun: The Vorta are immune to most forms of poison...comes in handy when you're a diplomat.

One of the lines I really enjoy is from the Pilot, Emissary.

Odo to Quark, about Sisko - "Did you know, at first, I didn't think I was going to like him."

The whole scene seemed to set up the whole Quark/Odo dynamic so well.

I like how their exchange goes a few lines before:

Quark: Commander, I'm curious...why would you want me to stay?

Odo: I'm curious myself. The man is a gambler and a thief!

Quark: I'm not a thief!

Odo: You...are a THIEF!

And some time later:

Sisko: There is that risk. But then...you're a gambler, Quark!

Odo: And...a thief....

Now...another great exchange, from "The Dogs of War".
Just as Ezri and Julian's exchange begins to turn serious, Ezri tries to "keep the door open":

Bashir: (regretfully) ...So that's that.

Ezri: (shrugs) We figured it out!

(long pause)

Ezri: You know, it takes a certain...maturity--to not get swept away in the--romantic fantasy....(chuckles)

Bashir: That's right--why let physical attraction...overcome--good sense!

Ezri: Chemistry isn't everything. (tosses him a sexy look)

Bashir: (catching on) Absolutely not! We're ADULTS!

Ezri: (nodding) I think we should be proud of ouselves.

Bashir: (beaming) So do I...I feel much better. Friends?

Ezri: (taking his hand) Friends!

Nice bit of "between the lines" there. I'd say she succeeded.

I like the lines between Sisko, Dax, Bashir and Nog at the end of "A Call to Arms" after they learn Jake stayed behind.

Dax: Aye, captain. We should rendezvous with the Federation task force in forty-eight hours.

Bashir: And then what?

Nog: And then we make the Dominion sorry they ever set foot in the Alpha Quadrant.

Sisko: Cadet, you took the words right out of my mouth.

And then right at the very end when Dukat and Weyoun walk into Sisko's office and see the baseball:

Weyoun: What is that?

Dukat: A message. From Sisko.

Weyoun: I don't understand.

Dukat: He's letting me know... he'll be back.

A poignant moment is after Sisko leaves Ops in "Tears of the Prophets." The Orbs are dark and Jadzia is gone, and Kira walks into Sisko's office with Odo, looks on the desk, and sees...nothing.

Kira: I was afraid of that. He's not sure he's coming back.

Odo: What makes you say that?

Kira: His baseball. He took it with him.

And it makes all the more sense after knowing that he left it in his office in "A Call to Arms"

(Bump. Sorry, folks, but this thread is TOO GOOD TO DIE!)

From "Hippocratic Oath":

O'Brien: Keiko only spends a few days at a time on the station--I'm the one living in those quarters. And if I want to set up a...little workshop in the bedroom...

Bashir: (look of "I don't believe what I'm hearing") You...set up a workshop...in the bedroom?

O'Brien: Yeah. Wha--I don't use it when she's visiting....

Bashir: (quickly) Oh--of course not!

O'Brien: She says I'm trying to live like a bachelor again. That I'm...expressing a "subconcious desire" to...push her out of our quarters....

(ADD moment: Wait--so Keiko thinks she's a psycologist? I would've LOVED to have seen Ezri lecture her on "Mrs. O'Brien...you do your job...and let me do mine...."

After all, Ezri does know from "experience" how men think....)

Bashir: Now that--is--rediculous.

O'Brien: Well, that's what I said!

Bashir: (His "Jack Sparrow" Moment) I mean...if anything--by spending your free time in the bedroom--a place where you intimatly associate with Keiko--you are actually expressing a...desire to be...closer to her...during her absense! It's...quite touching, really.

O'Brien: Exactly...EXACTLY! See, you understand! Why can't she see that? Why can't she be more like you--

(long pause)

Bashir: (eyes bulging wide) More...like...?

O'Brien: (shrugging) Uh...a man! Y'know--more like a man.

Bashir: (eyes wider) So...you...wish...Keiko...was a man....

O'Brien: (look of horror, then annoyance) ...I wish I was on this trip with someone else--that's what I wish!

Bashir: (snickers)
