Full Circle Partial Prologue on Amazon (Spoilers)

Solet me get this straight

So basically the serior staff minus Janeway, Chakotay, Tuvok, and maybe or maybe not Neelix will be back well this should kill the all the main characters are gone stuff.
So Tom and Seven do go then?Because in the bits I read neither of them were going to go.

I guess you're just more desperate for Star Trek then we are - real hardcore fans of TrekLit.

But as I've said many times before if they dont want our money, so be it - I can find other things to spend my money on, lots of things.

Yeah um it would help you a lot in the bring back Janeway debate if you didn't resort to saying your more a fan of Trek lit then the people who disagree with you.

Ahh...I think you got that upside down. I'm not saying I'm a bigger fan of TrekLit than you are. Quite the opposite in fact.

I'm saying that you swallow everything Trek and will by any series, whereas I'll only buy Voyager and only if it sounds interesting enough - oh and it includes the original crew, but then that goes without saying for me even if it doesn't for some of you. ;)

well you guys should now get some romance, what with the

Admiral promising to take Captain Eden up the delta quadrant

Not if the title of the thread is "Full Circle Partial Prologue on Amazon (Spoilers)" and not "All of Full Circle Which I Cheatingly Read Using 'Look Inside' on Amazon (Spoilers)".

I guess I don't understand the difference. I mean, they're both talking about Amazon, aren't they? Partial prologue, 'look inside', ends up being the same thing in this case.
You're seriously telling me that you don't see why people reading a thread about spoiling the prologue would be surprised/upset for spoilers for the entire book? :wtf:

Oh, we'll "swallow everything", will we? How charitable of you.

Maybe we buy this because...we actually like it?

GASP.

Nah, we're probably in it for the flashy covers.

Never said you didn't like it. Nor did I say that there was something wrong with "swallowing everything" if you like it. I've personally snatched up and swallowed almost everything of Tess Gerritson's, Lisa Gardner's, or Diana Gabaldon's Jamie and Claire series.

If you choose to assume that "swallowing" something is a bad thing, that's your choice, but it's not what I said.

Sisko DID die. Did you quit the books then?

Sure he came back later, but so could Janeway, and at least theoretically so could Picard if he were to ever perish.

I don't think he did die. I haven't gotten that far in the DS9 relaunch series yet, but I believe he returns from being with the Prophets. I think that would suggest he was simply in another plane of existence or whatever, but not dead.

And I think I don't want Janeway to come back. I like it when people stay dead. I just really hate in every franchise in every medium so many characters coming back from the dead.

That's what makes Janeway's death good for me. I didn't want her to die, I liked her, so when she died it sucked. That made the death more real and have more of an impact.

But yeah, if it were Sisko or Picard I wouldn't care about all that, I would probably stop reading the books. Honestly I would have to see where the books are going from there before I really decided to quit or not, but I don't know, Star Trek without them two just seems empty.

But then again, my sig just reminded me what it's really all about. . .

jeez...i'm just now finding out that b'elanna and miral might be dead by the end of this book too? they were on some list of the dead in "a singular destiny." march 31st can't get here quick enough. but, i really hope this isn't the case. :(

Erm...or you can do what's been suggested and cheatingly "look inside" on Amazon to spoil yourself. I didn't read the whole book, but I used the "search phrase" feature to clarify things for myself. I'm not suggesting you do it if you don't like being spoiled, but it *is* an option.

, I'm curious as to how you interpreted "What You Leave Behind"? In WYLB, Sisko's vision to Kasidy indicated he'd return, saying something like "maybe in a year, maybe yesterday. But I will be back."

I don't know, maybe it's just the phrasing...it sounds to me like you're saying "Sisko's not dead, but I'm basing this off the DS9R in which he comes back...the fact that he returns proves he's not dead." This is certainly true, but I was just wondering why you wouldn't make this assumption sooner, with the aired series finale. Unless you thought that the final Sisko/Kasidy conversation might just have been a hallucination/wishful thinking/daydreaming on Kasidy's part?

Oh no, I always thought he didn't die long before I started reading the DS9R. Based on the show I always assumed he was alive with the Prophets in the wormhole, and then the novels confirmed that. It's just that someone earlier had said that he did die, and I was just saying that I didn't think that was true.

thesuperbrando: I wouldn't read the books if they killed Sisko or Picard.

other person: Sisko did die.

thesuperbrando: No, I don't think that's true.

:)
