It definitely looks like a spatial rift of some kind. But it could also be spiral fireworks.

There's like 16 other spiraly things in that shot that could be the doorway to doom. Pretty sure it's just a firework.

My first thought is that it is a firework thingie, plain and simple, but then I see it has the edges spiraling *IN*, not out, which is odd. A fireworks display would be the perfect place to hide an incoming portal/wormhole/rift/galactic sphincter until it is too late, so now I'm not so sure.

Sure they're Odyssey and not Inquiry? We know they have about a thousand of those

As for the firework vs anomaly, it's probably a firework and they're just messin' with us.

There appears to be plenty of Inquiry-class starships in there too. If the Enterprise-F is the center ship, then she's flanked by quite a few of them. At least three above and three below her, then there's more Inquiry classes scattered about.

I see at least 10. I also see what might be Pathfinder Classes. Maybe the Voyager-B will show up.
