Friends coming over to watch the movie!

Hi Everyone,

I have a four people coming over on Friday to watch the recent Star Trek movie (and they have not seen it before). I loaned two of my friends the comic Countdown to give them a little more backstory. I am looking forward to their reaction to the movie. Just wanted to share.

Awesome, I derived a lot of satisfaction out of other people enjoying this movie with me...after many years of people being indifferent to them (Insurrection mainly, Generations)

^ Sorry got busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to post their reactions. They really liked the movie. Three of the four people who came over had never seen a Star Trek episode and after viewing the movie, they are going to give TOS a try. The females sobbed during the George Kirk/Kelvin scene. Everyone (including myself still) laughed at the Kirk/Bones exchange when Bones is trying to cure Kirk of his swollen hands. Toward the end of the movie, when Kirk was offering to help Nero from the black hole, and Nero responded he would rather suffer a thousand deaths than accept help from him...someone said "Hell Yeah" when Kirk replayed "You got it" Overall I think it was enjoyed by all. One person said they never would have watched the movie had I not invited them over and was glad to see it.
