That's completely different. That's a real concern based on science, not a superstition based on gross ignorance of science. The only reason the ozone problem has been mitigated is because we recognized it in time and passed laws to restrict practices and substances that contributed to ozone depletion. As a result, the deterioration of the ozone layer has slowed, but recovery is not expected for several more decades, and only if we continue the responsible policies we've instituted. It remains an issue of concern, even if it isn't as hyped in the media as it was.

The crisis has been mollified (at least for now) by informed, responsible action, but that doesn't mean the crisis never existed or should not still be taken seriously.
