Free stuff.

It's been a while, but when I was involved with the Arizona Restaurant Association, my credit card would periodically be brought back by sheepish looking servers with notes attached to my credit card to the effect of "You know your money is no good here." After a while, I learned to make sure I had $10 to $15 in cash on me when I went into certain restaurants so I could tip the staff.

O_O Why? Am I missing something about the Arizona Restaurant Association here?

(Also - I NEVER give my card to a waiter/waitress to take away - you don't know what might happen to it. I always insist on either they bring a portable card-reader to the table, or I accompany them, carrying the card myself, to the till ("Checkout" to the Americans).

Very rarely do I get free stuff - although in Canterbury once I had to wait for a bus late at night; my friend's bus came, and he got on, the driver told me to hop on and he'd take me up to university. He would've done it for free and would only accept payment for a child's ticket when I insisted on paying. :D

<snip>
I went to the local store to buy beer. The manager stopped me and asked if I'd like more, I said no... I had more than enough. Then he told me not to worry about being charged. I walked out with four cases of beer for the price of two.

<snip>.

That is very odd. Heh, maybe he was actually robbing the place and the manager was tied up behind the register.

I get all the free air I want. Lots & lots of free air.

That air ain't free pal, it's mine.

Expect a bill in the mail.

:lol: LOLing Randy!!!

One of my co-workers was kind enough to give me the flu. Does that count?

:lol: Good one!

As for me, i recently went to a yard sale being held by people that i see every summer at their sales. They held something just for me in case i came, and they gave it to me for free. I was totally blown away by that.

Blockbuster gave me 5 free used movies last week. Probably because I sold their last LCD on sale to a customer after loudly lamenting the fact that I just bought one (it was a 40" Sony Bravia for $399... a real bargain).
