I agree not having any of them seriously harms interest, but Lilith goes a long way in piquing my interest...if only temporarily.
Even if she becomes a regular cast member and as funny as Frasier is on his own more than half of the original cast missing means this is DOA. I hope i'm wrong, i'll check it out if i don't forget by the time it airs but i have zero confidence.
That's fair. I largely agree. It's just...I really love Lilith so even one episode of her is enough to at least give it a try, even with low expectations.
I don't want them to start where Frasier started with Frasier and Lilith disliking each other,by the time Frasier ended they had a very good relationship, even confessing their love for each other (not romantically of course). If it rehashes that dislike it won't be funny. I'm really not bothered about the others, if the series lasts they will show up at some point.
Exactly. How many people were like "Frasier without any Cheers characters? No way!" 11 seasons later..... Still, there's always a chance for guest appearances, since some of them went to Seattle to do guest shots.
But the irony here is that, being back in Boston, there's more of a chance of cameos or even recurring roles from some of the Cheers regulars.
It’s wild that Kelsey is returning to the role of Frasier 30 years after Cheers ended. I mean, imagine that one of the supporting characters from Bilko (or the Phil Silvers show to give it its full name) had gotten a spin-off show and then it was revived in 1989.
I wouldnt be surprised to see some easter eggs, its seems to be the way of things these days. Although no idea if Only Fools was watched much in the US or not. Love to see some Goodnight Sweetheart easter eggs too but doubt this was seen much in the US. In fact I would rather there be a revival of Goodnight Sweetheart than Frasier if im quite honest.
Grammar and Neuwirth could easily carry a show with the right scripts. They had great chemistry together and both are top notch actors.
