I'm still enjoying the individual episodes, but there has been no real arc movement. I have to admit, since I still enjoy watching the episodes I was trying to come up with a defense for the second half of the season, but there really hasn't been one. It has been kind of a mess overall. It seems like they really want The Hidden One to be a big scary threat, but he really hasn't done anything. I was pretty intrigued when they announced they were bringing in a kick-ass Betsy Ross character, but she's also ended up being a kind of pointless character. Some of the flashbacks with her have been pretty good, but since that's all she's in we don't get to spend enough time with the character to really get to know her. I thought bringing Katrina forward did help the character quite a bit, until that all went off the rails. I can't help but wonder if the same wouldn't be true of Betsy too, but only if they can keep a better handle on her story than they did on Katrina's.
I was really excited when they announced Clifton Campbell, the creator of The Glades, which I loved, was joining the show, but whatever he brought to that show doesn't appear to have been brought over to Sleepy Hollow.
At least this week we did get to see Pandora actually do something.
I also thought it was interesting that the flashbacks to the worm creatures origins actually didn't connect back to the American Revolution.
After this one, I have to admit, it could be kind of cool did more stuff involving parts of American history other than the Revolution.
I had totally forgotten that Joe was a Wendigo.
The stuff with Abbie and Sophia fighting the worm monster was fun.
I actually really like Jenny and Joe, and their storyline was a nice way to give Pandora more to do.
