Forget about Moffat and Chibby. Who's ready to wait 12 - 20+ months for a new series of Doctor who?

Meanwhile, back in the Whoverse, I'm looking forward to Patrick Ness's Class spinoff. If his novels are anything to go by, this will be interesting and intense, and very much not a kids show.

I hope it will be good. I'm not sure what to make of the idea. A show set in Coal Hill School, but without any familiar characters or aliens? I'm not sure I see the point of setting it in the Doctor Who universe if it has such a tenuous continuity link. Heck, even that lame, non-canonical Australian K9 series had, well, a version of K9 played by John Leeson.

Although I guess all that's been really said about characters is that Clara wouldn't be in it. I suppose that doesn't rule out other characters. Hmm... We know Ian Chesterton runs the board of governors, and William Russell's still around. I doubt a man in his 90s would be up for a regular gig, but he could have a cameo or two.

I hope the BBC's holding back on some revelations that would connect this more directly to the Whoniverse. They've been holding back on this, period. But I like modern Doctor Who, I liked Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures, I like what I've read by Patrick Ness, so I figure I'll be optimistic until I have some reason to be otherwise.

Well, SJA will be a hard act to follow. I still really miss Sarah Jane, Rani, and Clyde. (Although I'm very, very glad we only had to put up with Sky for six episodes.)

While a series of past Doctor specials would be nice, it's possible that the past Doctors who could realistically reprise their roles wouldn't be interested in doing so.

If McGann & Tennant are willing to do Big Finish audios, I suspect they'd be willing to come back for TV specials.

Smith feels like less of a sure thing but I suspect he'd do it if the money, script, & schedule were all to his liking.

Eccleston is probably a pipe dream. If he wasn't willing to come back for "The Day of the Doctor," I doubt he'd be willing to come back now. And that's fine... I guess... :sigh::(;)

Then there's John Hurt. Again, he's willing to come back for Big Finish audios, so I think he'd do TV. Now, on the one hand, you could make the argument that it would be best to keep a certain air of mystery around the War Doctor. After all, he's "the one I don't talk about" for a reason. On the other hand... IT'S JOHN FREAKING HURT! HE'S BRILLIANT IN EVERYTHING! MORE PLEASE! :techman:
