For those who like Nemesis

Data's death brought a tear or two to the eye. And with people remembering him. Sweet. And even though I didn't like B-4 that much - the only "Soong" I don't like, by the way -, I was ready to cry when he started mumbling Blue Skies.
And even though it's sad that everyone got separated, it left me feeling happy.

I'll respect your opinion even though I don't understand it one bit :cardie:

I meant that Data's death and what the others talked about him afterwards was touching.

And even when the crew's separation in the end was sad aswell, it didn't actually make me feel sad or angry, etc.
Sorry for the language barrior... :alienblush:

I did enjoy parts of it: the interaction between Data and LaForge, between Riker and Troi, and between Picard and Crusher.
Those where good stuff.
Unfortunatly, lots of good character stuff ( Like the chateau Picar scene, Troi-Picard corridor scene, The messhall talk about honeymoon, The scene where Picard is talking to Crusher before Riker leaves, The scene where Worf and Geordi are on Datas quarters after his death, The better ending scene where Riker makes joke to the new first officer..and so on)
where left to the cutting room floor:rolleyes::scream::(
Those scenes would have made the much better and frankly more TNG like
..and would have given Data,Troi, Worf, Riker, Geordi and Crusher something more to do:techman:
Hopefully someday we will see an extended cut...

After thinking about it, what ruined any chance of me liking this movie is the totally depressing way it ends. You're just left feeling like someone sucker punched you in the gut with a boxing glove full of cement, completely wiping out any air you had in your lungs. As you fall down to the floor wheezing, gasping, and struggling to breathe; the movie starts repeatedly kicking you in the head and the throat with a steel toe boot as it tried to give you "hope" about B4 being the new Data. Yuck!!

Why does everyone seem to walk away from this movie with that impression? I NEVER thought B-4 would be Data, just that a part of him would live on through him, much like part of Lal lived on through Data. It seems...incredibly obvious to me, and I don't get how people think that. I mean, didn't Geordi even say earlier in the movie that B-4's mind wasn't advanced enough to be what Data was?

I think it was well-presented how sad it made me feel when I realized this was the last mission the TNG crew would ever be on together. It's not often that this happens with Trek (the only other time I remember it happening was when Neelix didn't die), but I actually cried when Picard beamed aboard and everyone's staring out at the explosion, knowing Data died.

BTW RyuRoots, it's a little off-topic, but where did you get your avatar?

Here's a thought:
If they still have Lore taken apart somewhere. Can't they put him back together and reformat him with Data's "data"? Lore is just as advanced as Data. I'm a computer guy; so I'd just restore his full backup to a different equivalent machine.
