I got my Flu Shot yesterday, at Target. I was there to do a little shopping and pick up a prescription anyway. Its a hassle to get an appointment with my doc just to get a shot.

Anyone else get their Flu Shot? Are you not getting it? Do you avoid getting it?

Perhaps someday down the road we'll find out vaccines and such are a cruel hoax, but until that happens I try to get a flu shot every year. It seems silly not to take advantage of something that could prevent the flu or lessen it's effects.

Got a flu shot about a month ago. I have both elderly and very young people in my family and think it would be irresponsible not to get the shot.

I get one every year. Haven't done so yet, but got my reminder email from Kaiser the other day. I will stop on my way home sometime this week

I got mine at Duane Reade last week, it was my first time getting it at a pharmacy instead of a doctor's office, which was totally convenient. Even if I weren't in the vulnerable group, who need them most, I'd still get it. I feel strongly about vaccines and consider them a responsibility.

Already done for me and my youngest son. Though my wife no longer gets them because she gets deathly ill every year she gets it.

I'm not against vaccinations per se, and get travel vaccinations when I travel to countries where they are advised, but I've never taken a flu shot before.

My employer made arrangements so that those who wanted could get the flu shot at work, but I didn't see the need for it.

I think herd immunity is a pretty good reason to get it.

I got mine at Bartell Drugs. I'm thinking of getting a pneumonia shot as well.

The good thing about those is you only have to get them every five years. My last one hurt at the injection site for months.

So do I, which is why I haven't gotten one in ten years.

My husband also gets very ill after flu shots so he no longer gets them - I hope we're not cancelling each other out.

Never had a flu shot. Never intend to get a flu shot.

I'm not opposed to it, per se, but I don't really see a reason to do it. I don't even remember the last time I had the flu.

I'll admit I didn't bother for many years because I rarely got the flu anyway. Then in 2011 I had to get one before surgery, and I've been getting them ever since, for both my own sake -- I'm older and more vulnerable than I used to be -- and the herd's.

Because I am in the Southern Hemisphere I have flu shots in march or April. I have been having one every year for more about 20 years.

The last time I had the flu (in 1993) I ended up with pneumonia.

Did it for the first time this year; I've always forgotten in the past, but will make a better note of it in the future.

I'll be getting mine soon, hopefully, though I'm not in the habit of doing so. Came down with a pretty serious influenza-like virus a few months ago and was hospitalised for a fortnight or so, which is probably why I've noticed the procedure this year at all.

I have never had a flu shot and don't plan on getting one. I can't even remember the last time I had the actual flu.
