Fitness Checkin

After a break from deadlifts for the last month or so, I finally did them last night. I managed to get 585 again, so at least I didn't lose anything. Bulking season is in full swing, so I wonder if I can break 600 by the end of the year.

I set some personal records recently. Last month I dead lifted 305. And then a week later I tweaked my back somewhat while going for 315. So I laid off of the DLs for a couple weeks and focused on other exercises. Then, the other day, I successfully DL'ed 315. :mallory:

(Yeah, I've only been at this for a little over a year)

A month later, and I got my deadlift up to 325.
I should have quit for the evening, but I kind of tweaked my back (again) trying to go for reps at 285. :o

Ya know, I have two weight belts, and I never, ever use them.

I could use some knee wraps, though.

Getting deeper into the heavy lifting. Weighting in at 276lbs, my third most ever. I was sick for 6 days last week, but I've done some deadlifting again for a few weeks, 495 for 6 reps, and it felt fairly light, but I'm going to take 3 more weeks to try to get back to 600. For chest this week I did 4 plates on a hammer strength incline press, which I never tried before.

Deadlift motivation: Eddie Hall's world record 1020lb DL:

Big guy.

I'm 248 right now, which is the heaviest I've ever been, but I would love to add another 20-30 lbs.

I'm aiming to gain twenty to thirty pounds of muscle this year. If I go for any more than that in the same time period, I tend to put on a little too much fat at the same time.
