First time watching DS9

And I think it best if we consider the matter closed and get back on track. There is always Misc. or TNZ to discuss urban vs rural living at the different aspects that can entail in living in those areas.

Yep. As long as I don't read any spoilers here I will continue with my reviews.

I will just continue slow, because I have lots of stuff to do in the real world.


Apart from that, I really would enjoy to see some discussions about the episodes! So that I don't get the feeling I'm just writing them for me alone. So if you're reading this, and have a strong or different opinion about one of the episodes (even the older ones) or of the things I have said about them: Post your own opinions, remarks or short reviews!

Quark gets away with a lot on DS9. Sometimes it makes me wonder if he doesn't have friends in high places.

Serious, after Quark let Verad and the mercenaries onto the station in "Invasive Procedures" I would have locked him up. And I don't mean 30 days in a holding cell.

That one was really bad, indeed.

Yeah. I really love 'Quark the sneaky guy who tries to pull a fast one on everyone'. And I really hate 'Quark the guy who's constantly entangled with organised crime and an accomplice to murder and terrorism'.

Makes it really hard for me to like Quark, even though his acting and attitude is phenomenal.

Yeah, as a petty crook he really is one of my favourite characters. But then he becomes an accomplice to terrorists and murderers on a semi-regular basis (or stages his own armed robberies with accidental fatalities like in 'Vortex') and I really dislike him again for a few episode. We two have a complicated relationship...

Yeah, as a petty crook he really is one of my favourite characters. But then he becomes an accomplice to terrorists and murderers on a semi-regular basis (or stages his own armed robberies with accidental fatalities like in 'Vortex') and I really dislike him again for a few episode. We two have a complicated relationship...

He hates fanatics, he doesn't hesitate to turn against his accomplices when they do things that he disapproves of. He's far from being perfect but he has some redeeming qualities nevertheless.
