First snow of the year

^ Whereabouts are you, Goliath? We had freezing rain overnight that changed to snow this morning here in Ottawa.

Sudbury. So it was probably the same system.

The driving conditions were terrifying last night. We passed two cars that had been in a head-on collision on the road to the university.

Sounds fun. :(

I live downtown and don't own a car, so I don't have to worry about it, but walking certainly sucks right now. Ottawa uses waaaay too much salt when it snows, so when it's just below freezing like this, every street corner becomes a ugly mess of slush and freezing-cold puddles. :scream:

Winter has reached Stockholm, we are covered in snow, winds are blowing and all the kids are happy.

I am ok with it for as long as public transportation keeps working.

It snowed here day before yesterday:cool:
But the snow seems to be now slowly melting away:shifty:..

It's snowing where I am. Quite deep and quite cold. I only have one heater on, and I have been getting bathed in cold water for two years, so i don't notice it.

It started snowing in Edinburgh 2 days ago and there's more forecast for the next couple of days or so. I'm severely displeased :(

Ugh, unpleasant memories. I lived downtown Ottawa two years ago when the bus strike was going on, and had an hour's walk down Bank St to get to work each day. Those were a very cold, messy, cranky two months....

We were supposed to get about 20" of snow over the weekend. We were pretty lucky and only got about 12".

So far, still no snow... can't be long now, with temperatures remaining around the zero mark...
