Oh man I knew it felt familiar:

So PIC then?
It's not rational. Don't try to rationalize it.
I like STP, I already created an avatar for myself and all that. I'm committed to the name nowThat's just it, the full abbreviation would be ST:PIC, just like ST:TNG or the others.
Then we just use the 3 letter part.
Does it have to be 3 letters? He might like PI, like Dixon Hill the Private I.That's just it, the full abbreviation would be ST:PIC, just like ST:TNG or the others.

Another pic, nothing too shocking, just BTS stuff:

Better or worse than other Picard civvies?

That's assuming that's his filming clothes above (and not just regular street clothes he came in before changing)
"Who wore it best"Picard is into Han Solo cosplaying now.

You KNOW some CBS execs are seeing $$ signs right nowThey need a cameo by Richard Petty as one of Picard's old friends.
Also, they can do a media tie-in with the #43 NASCAR car next February at Daytona.

Is that one of the other main characters with him? It looks like Isa Briones to me.
Not quite what I was getting at. I am absolutely certain the Picard show will be far different from TNG and the other 24th century shows. But it is nice that they grease the wheels with something identifiably "Star Trek" before moving onto the changes they are going to make.
I do not agree. Story can flow from different places, but visual continuity can vary depending on length of time and changes. It is actually quite rational. It is about visual continuity. Some folks care, some don't. But it is no less rational than people getting out-of-joint when there are story contradictions.
