Trailer definately looks cool, and it's got a pretty impressive cast. I might yet check this one out.
That's whatchacall your damning with faint praise.there seems to be more acting going on than with Arnold
Count me as those whose interest is up cause Ron Pearlman is also involved.
Well, real life Conan style living, cool. There is a small bit about the attack here. Folks can be assholes, sometimes. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2008/11/a-21-year-old-m.htmlI think some of that scarring on Momoa's face is actually real. IIRC he got into a bar fight a couple years back and took a glass bottle to the face.
Nope. Momoa's actually much closer to Howard's Conan than Arnold was. Arnold was too slow and bulky.
I'm pretty sure that logo came with Arnold's movie. Through the 70's the title graphics were like thisNope. Momoa's actually much closer to Howard's Conan than Arnold was. Arnold was too slow and bulky.
As a pre-existing Conan fan, I never really though of Ah-nold as the definitive Conan, or even particularly right for the part. I agree, Momoa is closer, someone more panther-like. Can't think of a current actor who would be totally right for the part.
Interesting that they're using the "sword" logo for Conan (nice animation at the end). Did that originate in the comics? Here's a cover from 1985. Scroll down a bit.
Unless you read books. ( okay not in Shatner's case.Reeve is Superman, Shatner is Kirk, Connery is Bond, and Arnold is Conan. Everything else is just poor imitation.

Ah-nold was the poor imitation of Conan.![]()
He might have made the character more popular, but that doesn't mean he portrayed the character properly.
