Kind of disappointing that they gave him fake hair instead of embracing baldness like Picard did.
Does he have a griddle too? It's an homage to Captain Kirk. DSC takes place 10 years before TOS after all.![]()

I could see him being characterized as equal parts Kirk and Picard. Or 90% Kirk, that would work too.
Awwww, how cute. Someone's getting cranky because they're not getting the Trek they wanted. Someone give him a lollipop! No, it actually says that they don't have much and that they're usually clumsily used "funny hat" characters. Repeating the tired fanboi can't about "otherness and acceptance" is superficial and doesn't make it so.
What, so he can make pancakes on the bridge?Does he have a griddle too?![]()
Duh...pancakes are the best. What, so he can make pancakes on the bridge?

That's what this is for. We're talking 23rd Century here. If that thing can't make waffles as well, I'm cancelling my CBSAA subscription.
Crepes were not introduced until Captain Picard. Keep up!I thought that was for crepes!

I certainly mean no disrespect to the people doing these photomanips (heck, I've even done them myself), but to me none of them look better than what the people actually working on the show have created. All these nip and tuck photoshops are improvements, which shows how easy it is to do better than the people who got paid the big bucks.
They are? First time I'm hearing of this. The TOS and FC uniforms always seem to be way more popular. The maroons are overwhelmingly the most popular uniforms in the whole fandom and they certainly weren't familiar and samey.
Nice! Hadn't noticed the color-coded boots. And it's also cool that the TrekMovie article points out the short-sleeved variant. Still curious what that's all about.BTW here's the link to the higher-res image

I don't dislike the maroons, but they're pretty far down on my list. My favorites in order are FC/DS9 S5-7, TNG S3-7, DS9 S1-5/VOY. I've honestly never been that fond of the TOS series uniforms, they're just solid colored shirts and black pants. They are? First time I'm hearing of this.
