Gabriel is a cool name thought for sure they were going to go with something that has a J in it. (I.E. Jonathan Archer, James T. Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Benjamin sisko, Kathryn Janeway).

Any thoughts on why they bothered to make a face mask for Isaacs then? Are they going to explode Lorca's head Scanners style?
Perhaps as a life cast reference if they need to build a CG double of him for a space walk in a spacesuit or something like we see Burnham in the trailer. I know for a fact that a CG double and CG space suit was made of Burnham for the space walk scene we see in the trailer. Not sure about Lorca.
The face mask he was fitted for is likely for a wound he sustains.

And since I'm an over-achiever, I figured I'd do TWoK & TOS uniforms too.
I also figured I'd clean up the original picture to get rid of that overly blue tint and most of the watermark.
Honestly, despite the divergence in canon, I really like these uniforms. Isaacs certainly looks super spiffy in it and it automatically gives him a sense of authority.
The face mask is the mold for his head bust for the trippy time travel sequence ala ST4 
The color of the trim has less to do with the slimming effect than the actual lines themselves. The shoulder pads and the downward angle on the trim work together to create a "V" shape, indicating stability and retrained strength.
DSC is still the worst one. Looks like it's from the 1979 Buck Rodgers. Can you put Twiki and Dr. Theo in there?
Wait till we see the first guest star officer who's not so Hollywood slim. Imagine Colm Meaney wearing that.

Lol. No offense to Colm, he was one of my favorites. He's just a perfect example of why they either need a more conservative color scheme, or at least have varied designs for different body shapes. It's the TNG lycra suit debacle all over again.Don't be mean(ey).

The TMP uniforms make better pj's. Just take off the pants and shoes which are one piece for some reason, and you've got a classic night shirt. Oh and don't forget that bulky belt thing, whatever the hell it is. Set up your fitbit wrist communicator as your alarm clock on your night stand and you're all set.
Dang, he looks good in anything. My favorite is the season 3 TOS uniform though.
