Are the novels individual stories or one continuous arc?

Individual stand-alone stories. Though, as mentioned, Big Damn Hero does make reference to stuff from Dark Horse's graphic novels, but not in a serious way. Meaning you can still follow the novel just fine even if you haven't read the graphic novels.
