So, why do I like that one so much? Because it's almost exactly how I envision a scene from a story I have in my head (but haven't written yet).
Several of the crew and contract technicians are installing new systems in the Bridge. As it just happens, all of the enlisted crew on this detail are young women (oldest about 27). A Lieutenant is sitting in the command chair, supervising the work, and she is called away right when the contractors take their lunch break. She hands the PADD off to the ranking Petty Officer, leaving the enlisted to their own devices. (To be fair, they do keep working on the install.)
As soon as the Officer leaves, the Petty Officer hops into the center seat. Someone tells her she should not do that, but she replies that her application for Officer Training School is at headquarters for final approval. She's just "trying it out to see how it fits". The conversation quickly turns to "how cute" some of the contractors are, and also some of the male crew members, to include the First Officer and Captain.
What they don't realize is when she sat down in the command chair, her elbow hit the button for All Hands / All Decks broadcast. The entire ship, including the captain, heard them talking. Oops.
So, yeah, other than the rank insignia, that image could have been pull right out of my mind.
