Alright. I’m sure it sounds odd, but have you ever been tempted to finish a story that the original author never completed? Even privately, for yourself alone? I must admit to being tempted.

I'm definitely the "fix things" or "finish things" type when it comes to "canon messed this up or left this up in the air so LET ME FIX/FINISH IT IN A FIC", but I'd never actually do this with another fic writer's work, not even in private. It seems disrespectful - unless you ask the fic writer for permission, of course. If they say it's fine, then sure.
Thank you for the feedback, though I don’t know why writing something for private consumption only would be disrespectful. It’s a way to get closure. Oh well. Guess I got my answer!
