Finding obscure song lyrics

We have this setup at work where the music comes in on a satellite channel, and is controlled by somebody farther up the corporate ladder. We don't really have any direct control over what gets played, but I think the selection's fairly decent. Some of it is common stuff and some of it is more obscure.

I'd like to find out more info about a few of the songs that play, but all I have is snippets of the lyrics (I rarely have time to copy them down at work). I've tried Googling these a couple times and can never seem to find anything, so I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions.

Could you post the lyrics snippets that you have here? Some of us could try to help find the titles and artists.

Also, you could put Shazam on a mobile phone and give it a run at work while the music is playing.

Wouldn't work, because my phone likely isn't designed for it and I can't use it at work anyway. But here's the chorus to one I've been thinking of lately. I think several of the songs are by the same artist/group, and it's clearly a female singer. Sorry I can't add too many specifics.

Any help would definitely be appreciated. I've found some of the stuff on Google, but not others. And they had to get the music from somewhere to play it...

My apologies for bumping this old thread, but I'm pleased to say I finally managed to find lyrics for two songs played at work, both by the same artist. One is Baffled Queen and the other is Touchdown. They're both interesting tracks.
