FINAL DESTION. 4 & HALLOWEEN 2-STILLl have SAME release Date!

Mutara Nebula 1967

Captain
Captain
What did they use to call this?

Mutually Assured Destruction.

As of Friday they both are coming out on the same day still
August 28th.

I can only guess that one studio is waiting for the other to blink. This seems like pure foolishness trying to get the same audience in theatre's on the same day likelly resulting in poor box office for both.

It would be like having the next SPIDERMAN & IRON MAN movies opening the same day.

Personally I think HALLOWEEN should move to ...you know..like OCTOBER!
It's R rated so worrying about kids being back in school is not going to make a difference and if they put it say two weeks before SAW then those films wouldn't negate each other.

Two movies that suck horribly and that no one will see coming out on the same day. Stop the presses. This could be the worst disaster since the titanic. Not that they're being released out on the same day is a disaster. That'll have very little effect on their numbers. No, the disaster is that they were made.

I get that as far as audiences go they are splitting potential customers.
Personally, I won't be seeing either so Meh.

Took the words right out of my mouth!

Two terrible shit movies will come out on the same day at the end of the summer?! It's the end of the world!

Now, now. We all know the Final Destination movies suck ... but they ARE filled with hot boys. That's seriously the only reason to watch them. Still unsure why they feel the need to have it in 3-d. Seems silly to me.

Opening on that date will still probably maximize profits. Horror movies don't do as well past Halloween, and movies in general don't stay in first-run theaters much longer than two months. If an audience wants to see both movies, then there is nothing stopping them from going on consecutive weekends or even on the same weekend.

So you know the films are bad because both studios have plucked you out of obscurity to see advance screenings of them?

There's a FINAL DESTINATION 4!?! LORD ''O'' MIGHTY! I didn't even know they had a Third one! Who keep's paying for this CRAP?!??!?

Easy solution would be, if you can afford it watch one movie on opening day and then the other one the day after. Simple.

Not my thing but I'd think that "hot boys" + 3-D could have possibilities.:)

So are FINAL Destination movies going to realize what FINAL means?

Not as long as the studio thinks they're making enough of a profit. After Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, for example, there have since been seven sequels and a remake.

Hey now! I'm going to make a killing selling my screenplays "Son of the Last of the Mohicans," "Another Last Starfighter" and "The Next Last Samurai," so don't diss the Hollywood machine! :p
