As of Friday they both are coming out on the same day still
August 28th.
I can only guess that one studio is waiting for the other to blink. This seems like pure foolishness trying to get the same audience in theatre's on the same day likelly resulting in poor box office for both.
It would be like having the next SPIDERMAN & IRON MAN movies opening the same day.
Personally I think HALLOWEEN should move to ...you know..like OCTOBER!
It's R rated so worrying about kids being back in school is not going to make a difference and if they put it say two weeks before SAW then those films wouldn't negate each other.
