Watching a TV show in the comfort of your house is a lot different to dragging oneself to pay high prices for a ticket and greasy food. IME a lot of movies I see advertised my response is I'll wait to watch it on tv. I bet Millennials hardly go to the cinema, will the medium even last the next 2 generations?IIRC, Voyager's "Endgame" was the most watched Trek episode on Netflix a few years ago. I'm sure the streaming numbers contribute to Seven, Janeway and others being in the modern shows.
One thing that fascinates me with the younger generation is that they have a greater and greater interest in what is considered older mediums. My daughters love record players, songs from the 50s, 60s and 80s, as well as other vintage tech.
