Fellas…are there "girlie" things that you like/enjoy?

Whilst it is exceedingly rare that I get this opportunity, I like to shop with my woman for a dress, or an outfit she wants to wear. I hate having to lie about the stupid shit most women try looking trendy in. Invariably it fails to make them look like whatever hot chick they saw wearing it (perhaps, even enhancing flaws, like a flat chest, or fat ass) forcing me to say shit like ... "Looks great on you, Baby" to preserve my "next time" of passion with them. If only they'd dress themselves in what they actually, you know ... look GOOD in, instead of what happens to be fashionable that month. No ... let ME pick it out for you ... trust me. I know what looks good on you.

So basically you buy gloves?

I had some nice quiche for supper last night.

I thought of something else: When I was a kid back in the 60s, some of the comic books I liked were aimed at girls, like Supergirl and Angel and the Ape.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of men in tutus, skirts and dresses. All different ages. I'm really hoping men will someday feel as comfortable wearing non-pants as women do wearing them.

I feel comfortable enough wearing non-pants that I only wear pants when I'm out of the house.

Or is that not what you meant...? :p

The only time I ever wear anything other than pants is when I'm sleeping. Then, I wear old shorts. At other times, it's 100% pants.

Trust me, the world is better off for not having to look at my legs. :alienblush:

Um, whut?!

Some of the non pants I've seen men in, out and about in the city, have been long skirts. Looking at people's legs doesn't have anything to do with it. And obviously shorts are pants for the purpose of what I was talking about.

You don't ever go swimming?

I know you weren't asking me, but the last time I went swimming was 5 years ago. I like swimming, but I just don't ever have opportunities to do it.

I wanted to wear a tutu when I dressed up as the Princess of Love for Halloween, but I couldn't find one in my size that was also reasonably priced.

Anyhoo, I'd wear a dress, no problem, but it has to look good. If I'm wearing a dress, it's because I'm getting all fancied up for something. I've seen in Eddie Izzard in dresses that look damn good, so if I wear one, I want it to look damn good, too!

Well, I have a kilt that I love, so there's that.

I have an Utilikilt, I highly recommend it to anyone. I just can't wear it outside of conventions and places with a lot of Scottish people out of fear of being attacked by rednecks.

Still for a brief period of time, I am free.

I've seen a few men in kilts too, at cons and just walking about. Talked to one Indian guy with a very thick Scottish accent in a purple kilt and sporran at the tram stop the other day.

There is a guy in my area who looks the classic neckbeard geek type other than that he is always wearing long ruffled medieval style skirts. With some crumbling black fandom t-shirt on top. I love it when you see men who don't fall into easily leaped to categories for wearing skirts and dresses.

Due to the heat (most conventions I know about are in summer and packed with people) and amount of walking I've done at conventions, kilts are probably the most comfortable thing you can wear and not get arrested for. You realize that the moment you first put one on.

I'm probably going to have to buy a new one this year, my current one is too baggy now.
