Feline Follies

I have no idea why Willow rests her head on the water bowl.

The other night, I filled the cats' water bowl while talking to my wife ("What's for dinner?"). Sherlock walked over and started drinking. When I walked towards my computer room, he ran to the restroom door, pried it open, and jumped up on the sink to beg for water. He loves to drink out of a running faucet. Goof cat, I just gave him fresh water. I thought he had his fill. But nooooo, he had to have a taste straight out of the spigot.

He doesn't know if the water in his bowl is fresh. But water out of the tap? That's fresh!

At least, that is how a cat would see it...

Yeah, one of ours started getting my hubby to put water in his bathroom sink for her. We thought she might have diabetes, so we took her to the vet. Nope! She's just spoiled.

Well his highness has to keep his servants in line and cater to his every whim. ;)

I think the Maine Coon cat has its ancestor in the Norwegian Forest cats....
They say ships were coming from those parts into America carrying Norwegian Forest cats and Siberian cats.
Once they arrived in North America they mixed with some local cats and the Maine Coon appeared as a result....

I think they "mixed" with pumas, or at least bobcats.
