Why the "poor baby"?
Kitteh's blind - that's why. He can't see birds to crackle at (like my ol' Bandit did). Might get spooked by things that most cats would notice without thinking about it.

Polecat is a common name for mammals in the order Carnivora and subfamilies Galictinae and Mustelinae. Polecats do not form a single taxonomic rank (i.e., clade); the name is applied to several species with broad similarities (including having a dark mask-like marking across the face) to European polecats, the only polecat species native to the British Isles.
In the United States, the term polecat is sometimes applied to the black-footed ferret, a native member of the Mustelinae, and (loosely) to skunks, which are only distantly related.

Lovely looking cat though it looks a tad worried to me - "I'm up here, how do I get down? help? hoomin?"
I worked in hospital pharmacies. Accidents happen in hospitals more often than you'd like to think. One time, a nurse hung an IV bag of chemotherapy drugs for a non-cancer patient. Another nurse noticed that the numbered bags were missing one for the cancer patient and started an investigation. By that time the first nurse had noticed what she'd done and she attempted to hide the wrong IV bag, but she was found out.
That happened in the Houston area just last week. Very sad story...
