Monday this week my mom had to take her 22-year-old cat, Trouble, for his final vet visit.
I was there with him as he drifted off and we stayed with him for a while after he was gone.
I'm going to miss that little guy. We were all watching the South Park episode, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" on its first airing soon after my parents adopted him and his adopted brother, Frankie, as kittens. They lost Frankie quite a few years back from cancer. I was with him when he drifted away at the same vet, as well.
So sorry for your loss.
He looks like a lovely cat. I’m glad he was surrounded by his loving family when the time came.

Yep - 22 years is impressive. As to Frankie having cancer... "Fark Cancer" is all I can say right now (it being just over two weeks since Bandit went the same way).
My sister had a cat named Simbad, which was short for Semi-Bad Kitty-Cat.

Kaylee has become one of the biggest beggars I've ever known.
She knows I have a pouch of treats on my keyboard shelf so she'll randomly show up on my desk and dig around for them. She's also taken to laying on my lap a lot, too. She's trying to butter me up for some treats.

We had a ghost cat, but that could have been a quantum cat. Often we were aware of the cat resting on the sofa or one of her usual spots, but then we’d see her at the bottom of the garden or walking in to room she was already in.
