We had a shop cat that would do that with his not-nearly-wet-enough wet food. What a mess.

Junior needs a narrator. I have no idea who it should be, but pics like this MUST have a narrator.
Admittedly, my suggestion is a cliche, still, just by suggesting the notion , the first thing that popped into my head was Morgan Freeman.
In fact, there is a collection of videos on YouTube (in reality, "extended" commercials for a cat food brand) in which a "seasoned" cat composes a series of "letters" to a newly introduced feline. Some of you may have seen them, called "Dear Kitten". The voice artist goes for a Morgan Freeman quality.

I said goodbye to my 15 year old sweet little girl cat today. She developed a tumor in or behind her sinus that became apparent about a year and a half ago. I was able to keep her comfortable excepting the last few months and it became obvious I couldn't do anything more for her.
Considering who I am, the fact she was an unabashed lap cat & sleeping on my arm at night cat means she was the sweetest cat ever, even if she didn't do any of those things in recent months.
I really will miss her.

I'm so sorry Ar-Pharazon. 
It is so hard to lose such a good friend who has given you so much joy for so many years. I lost my boy One-Eyed Jack last year, and I still miss him. I have a new "special needs" feline friend now, and I love her to death...but I still miss Jack.

Very sorry to hear it, Ar-Pharazon. It's so difficult to lose such a loving companion.
@auntiehill, how is Junior taking it nowadays? Is he stressed out because of the hurricane and because you had to leave the house?
^He is very stressed out, being kept in the guest room of my Mom's house. My mom has a standard poodle and a fairly vicious little cat so Junior stays in our room. I hope to drive home tomorrow so both Junior and I can at least be in our own home again. Assuming said home doesn't wash away.
