Feline Follies

Looks like Fub waited for you to get the camera in the right position; then looked up ever so often to say...you still got that thing aimed at me? and finally...well, enough of this; I'm gonna go find something else to do...

My two creamsicle cats. Tom on the left and Harry on the right.

No pics, but a bit of hilarity this morning. When I went in the bathroom to take a shower, I opened up the curtain, and Phantom (our black cat, NOT Banshee/Diaper Kitty) was sitting on the far edge of the tub. He's a bit of a trouble maker, always getting into everything, and we're surprised his curiosity hasn't gotten the better of him yet. We also sometimes call him Vulcan Kitty, because despite his antics, he doesn't show any sort of expression on his face, ever! At least, until now...

So I started the water to let it heat up, and Phantom just sat there watching the water. Soon, he noticed that the bottom of the tub was starting to fill up a little bit, and he started getting a slightly panicked look on his face, and was starting to fidget around quite a bit. Finally, he'd had enough and attempted to leap across the tub to get out. This gif gives a good approximation of the result:

And then of course was the mad kitty scramble to get out of the water, including sinking some claws into my toes! To my wife, the funniest part was this was the first time we've seen him puff out his tail, but he couldn't do the lower half because it was soaked! :guffaw:

.....aaaand last night Phantom followed me into the bathroom, where he proceeded to jump up on the toilet to get to the sink. Except I had already lifted the toilet lid.

You'll understand why he'll avoid the bathroom from now on then. :guffaw:

Unless he's like "Rudy" from the infamous kitchen sink incident. After all that trauma, that cat still tried to find "nibbles" inside the drain! (Thankfully his owners got a disposal with a plug.)

Sincerely,

Bill

Took my cat outside for the first time ever today. He was on a leash which he hated, but there's no way I'm letting him run loose. It was really funny to watch him get completely flat and low to the ground, freaking out at every leaf and even his own shadow. He also immediately decided to lie in the dirt and roll around in it. Thanks, cat.

My Marigold likes to run away from the flat to the corridor (where the lists are and doors to other flats) and then roll on the floor, but only in one spot.

But as soon as there is some sound - a lift, someone's voice - she's back in the flat within a nanosecond :D

"I can't believe I ate the whole thing."

I had no idea the bowl would be in the shot when I tried to get this pic of Cherie's weird pose in my lap. But when I saw it, I just about died laughing.

This picture is screaming to be made into a LOLCat.

I just looked up to see these two like this!
Our latest arrival Moses sleeping on Dominic

And our other kitty, Theo. He's huge, bigger than Dominic by quite a way.
