My little black cat, Chloe, used to hide under the china cabinet where we couldn't see her under there in the dark. I later realized that it was just an experiment towards her plot to kill me. She then moved to lying stretched out on the stairs to the second floor. I'd come down the steps and step on her and nearly bust myself as we both screamed and I grabbed for the bannister. I do miss that cat, but my blood pressure has settled down.
Glasgow got a cat tree in hopes that he'll climb it rather than the door frames, a la:

But for a cat tree it doesn't look half bad (no tacky beige carpet, at least):

Yep! Both shelves are anchored for extra support. It'll need it too, Glasgow weighs about 15lbs (he's not fat he's just big).

@thestrangequark, if you don't mind my asking, is there any particular reason your cat's name is Glasgow? Do you just like Scotland?
