Federation/Starfleet Equipment Picture Thread

Oh, goody! I get to post the Bev-Helmet from TNG 'Lonely Among Us' -

The most stupid Starfleet equipment in all of Star Trek, IMHO! Every time I see it I want to scream at McCoy: "It's a freakin' microphone!" I hate that prop. But the idea behind its functionality is somewhat ludicrous, too: Absorbing the sound of the bridge crews heartbeats? Why not simply scanning for heartbeats elsewhere on the ship and just blocking out the bridge? (As they do with the transporter personell, IIRC.)

I'll give you two more from TOS. The first is a scanner that Scotty used the most although here is Spock holding it.

The second is the ultimate retro Trek. Who knew Spock could use tubes to make his tricorder work? Too bad this blew up in the episode. It looks perfect to be entered in a middle school science fair.

But just think how handy this device would be on Karaoke Night in the Rec Room. Not only could the singer use it for its intended purpose, if they were really bad, it could absorb their off-key voice. :D

Self-sealing stem bolts. They are VERY useful! ;) And remember: 100 gross of them are worth 5,000 wrappages of Cardassian yamok sauce!

^ It is. From first season's "Progress". But the stem bolts are mentioned all over the series, too. They are kind of an in-joke on treknobabble.

Well, Excuuuuuuse me! Sorry, but what with working full time, raising three kids, taking care of the pets, and having a life, I don't remember every bit of minutia ever shown on Trek.
 
I did not mean to be rude to you! Really. I just thought you were making a joke. Sometimes it's hard to tell on this board. And there are some who insist that there isn't (and never was) a fifth Star Trek series. So, sorry if that wasn't clear!

And I agree, raising your kids is more important that watching ENT! :)
