At least once a year at this time I have to call up this video of Judy Garland's 1963 tv Christmas special with musical direction by Mel Torme, if for no other reason than to hear Mel masterfully croon out harmonies to an acapella Hark The Herald Angels Sing with Jack Jones @ 2:45. The guy has stunning vocal skill.

Seriously! That last note Torme hits in "Hark" is killer.

OMG! Someone else noticed! That whole final run on "Glory to the new born king" is mind boggling

He harmonizes "Mercy Mild" only one pitch off from the main melody. It's pitch perfect dissonance. That stuff ain't easy acapella

Bearing in mind that I don't need to hear any Xmas carol ever again, the ones I like best are the oldest ones: Silent Night, God rest ye merry gentlemen, Good king Wenceslas, and also Jingle Bells. The more recent ones are just annoying pop songs.

Unjust heard a very lovely Christmas song about a boy who wants to buy a Christmasr present for his mother who is dying of cancer (and the doctor's have said that this will most likely be her last Christmas). The song's called "Christmas Shoes" and is a must listen.

I, and a few others in this thread, have that down as one of our "most hated." So, I'm not sure if you're being serious here or not. If so, then I'm glad someone likes it, I guess. Not my cup of tea, for reason #3 on this list.
