Lore. The evil/good android seemed to work well. Sad when he got deactivated 
Hmm, to me Q was beyond Good and Evil, therefore I could not consider voting for him in this poll.
However in a most entertaining Omnipotent character thread....
You rarely hear people talking about it, but I think this is one of the best TNG episodes. Not bad for a reuse of a Phase II script - it's miles better than The Child.

Another vote for Armus. That was a unique villain. And truly evil. I love that episode.

Individual villians I would vote for Armus and Gul Madred. I think both of those characters have a lot of depth to them. They are two of my favorites from all of the trek series.
I have to give a nod to the Borg as the best villians, though. I was in high school when I watched "Q Who" and "The Best of Both Worlds". Watching the Borg be introduced was memorable, I still recall, quite clearly, watching both episodes as a teenager. I can't say that for many episodes.

I'm very happy to see people showing some love for Moriarty. I think he was one of the coolest and most original characters ever on TNG, but unfortunately forgotten by many. I love his dialogue and how he was played by the actor cast in the role. I like Adra a lot too. Her attempts at seducing Picard, his stubborn resistance to her seduction, and his refusal to buy her act for even a second were hilarious. On the flipside, I'm surprised and a little baffled by the support for Armus. I thought he (or "it") was a really lame character who was just grating and one-dimensional...nothing but a plot device of cartoonish cliche villainy invented just to off Tasha Yar and in the most hackeneyed way possible.
I can understand people not seeing Q as a villain since he was so lovable (especially after Qpid and Deja Q). I guess the only time he ever did something ruthlessly evil and actually seemed cruel and malicious was when he exposed the Enterprise to the Borg and let the Borg kill some of the crew. The moment when he tells Picard "if you can't take a bloody nose, you shouldn't be out here" was the only time I thought he ever came across as a truly evil villain. Still, even if he was softened by his later appearances and ultimately became more of an endearing pest than true antagonist, I still think at his core he's a villain.

I disagree. I think Q was doing Picard and the Enterprise a BIG BIG favor by giving their arrogant asses the kick they needed to realize that there are MUCH bigger things out there and giving them a "glimpse" of what lies ahead. I think Q shouldn't even be in the villain category since in my view he was actually not really causing serious harm and ultimately helping more than harming.
P.S. I was torn between Gul Madred and Lore ... but picked Madred cause he actually was able to "break" Picard and make him think there were FIVE LIGHTS
