Favourite Cancelled Series

I imagine if he continues to get his way that they're in the same place as season three of Shark. i.e. nowhere to be found

What the fuck happened?! The S1 DVD of Shark supposedly sold well enough in some quarters and I don't think there's any insipid music clearance bullshit holding back the S2 DVD (the second season wasn't quite as sharp as the first season, but I'm a completists and selling it is a no brainer).

When a reasonably popular and promising new hit show like Shark gets cancelled, it's demise helped along by the perfect storm of the Writer's Strike and incompetent schedueling in the second season, this is an official indication to me that Leslie Moonves has lost the plot big time and makes me wonder if he is somehow a plant from a rival media company, due to his numerous other obvious blunders with CBS.

Has to be Sliders, the patron saint of cancelled series. After all these years there's no other series I've longed to have some kind of revival, whether it be a reboot or a tv movie. Although the series had it's rough points throughout, there's simply too much potential in the concept to let it go.

You can't be serious. Sliders became unwatchable faster than either EFC or Andromeda!

That may be, but I can still name episodes in the final and most maligned season that did good things with the concept, hence my interest in seeing some kind of revival. I found Sliders much more interesting than either EFC or Andromeda because the story possibilities were endless (whether good or bad).

Police Squad!
Undeclared
Sledge Hammer
Enterprise
Titus
Space: Above and Beyond
New Amsterdam
Invasion
Surface

Those are what I can thionk of right now.

....and Pushing Daisies officially joins my list. :scream: :(

The only reason I didn't include Farscape is that at least it had four seasons and a pretty damned good mini-series to tie up a lot of the loose ends. Technically it was cancelled, though, and it's one of my favourite shows of any genre, ever.

Firefly (this got canceled and my desire to watch any new show dropped figuring if I like it, it'll get nuked)
Angel (recovered nicely from s4)
Futurama (may have direct to DVD movies, but it's not back on air)

Honourable mentions to...
Crusade (had a lot of potential even if it was AD&D in space :D)
jPod (just really really liked this show)
Farscape

Zombie thread!

I guess I get to add Pushing Daisies to my list now.

Here's a more interesting game...which show will be next on your Favorite Cancelled Series list? I can't count BSG or Lost, since they are having respectable runs and ending when they should. If Heroes doesn't get their act together writing-wise, they might be the next.

Geeze...a little thread-necromancy here. Ned must have posted brought it back to life.

Definitely a  over Pushing Daisies.

I have a feeling Heroes will be next, and that will make me sad. But every since second season, I've turned to Hubby and asked, "Why are they writing Peter to be so STUPID? How can he be the central hero when he's a DUMBASS?"

*sigh*

Right now, all I want for Heroes is for Claude to magically reappear, just in the nick to time to save a hero or push a baddie off the roof. :D
