Favourite Bond films

[Skywalker]

My favorite from each Bond, not including Lazenby for obvious reasons and with the caveat that I have not yet seen Spectre:

Connery: From Russia with Love
Moore: For Your Eyes Only
Dalton: The Living Daylights
Brosnan: GoldenEye
Craig: Casino Royale

It's a shame Lazenby didn't do more movies, I really liked his Bond. It would have been interesting to see how Diamonds Are Forever would have gone with him instead of Connery. Conversely, I wish Moore had gone out on a high note after For Your Eyes Only. Maybe Dalton might have replaced him sooner, which might have been nice.

It irs, but Dalton's not a very good actor. Craig is.

Pretty much. I was a big fan of Dalton's at the time and would've defended him when he got slated but I've seen LTK & TLD on TV in recent years and time has not been kind to his performances.

I enjoy him in Penny Dreadful though (which has a big 007 connection - John Logan writing, Mendes producing and occasionally directing, Dalton, Eva Green, Rory Kinnear and Helen McCrory appearing in it.).

I'll admit that I fell asleep halfway through OHMSS and I could barely stay awake during Octopussy.

In my late teens and early 20s, I thought OHMSS was a load of old cobblers. But now I love it and it's one of my favourite Bond films. It's one of the few 007 films where I notice a new detail in it every time I re-watch it.

Apparently the interview was from last year but in the paper there was an article that said he got to attend the Spectre premiere in Mexico, and spend a day with Daniel Craig.

As for Dalton you can take the spy out of Derbyshire, but you can't take Derbyshire out of the spy
