Favorite trek character Enterprise,TOS,TNG,DS9 or Voyager

Though there are many great characters in Star Trek, my personal favorites are the following.

TOS: Dr. Leonard H. “Bones” McCoy. Arguably the most “human” of all the Star Trek characters. The novel, Shadows on the Sun, by Michael Jan Friedman is my all-time favorite Star Trek novel. (It’s the only Star Trek novel that literally made me cry.)


TNG: Mr. Data. One of the most beloved characters in the Star Trek universe and justifiably so. I’ll always have a soft spot for this character since he’s the one that drew me into Star Trek in the first place. “The Measure of a Man” is one of my most favorite Star Trek episodes to this day.


DS9: Dr. Julian Bashir. Despite his flaws, the character grew on to me as the series progressed. I guess I have an affinity for Bildungsroman characters. Also, I think his storyline of genetic enhancement and Section 31 added something that is thematically interesting to the overall Star Trek lore.

TOS: Spock, McCoy, Chekov (sometimes he was a pain in the... but he had his moments)
TNG: Riker, Data, Worf
DS9: Odo, O´Brien, Ezri Dax, Kira and Bashir. Guests: Dukat, Damar, Weyoun, Eliminator Leck
VOY: Chakotay, Tom Paris, Seven of Nine


Hmmm, the list is incomplete: I´d like to add Samantha Wildman, Icheb and Q Junior.

It changes pretty often. At the moment, I'll go with DeForest Kelley's McCoy. But a lot of that is his chemistry with Spock and Kirk, so it's kind of a group package.

Spock winning the poll would be well deserved. I guess Wesley will go without vote at all . Hmmm, T´Pol is for me what Wesley is for anyone else. I was hard-pressed to decide for just one character and took Data.
Eliminator Leck: I loved the Ferengi episodes, and Leck was a different Ferengi
Damar: most surprising change in character
Weyoun: fellow Vorta, always bounces back
Dukat: versatile character, even funny sometimes (remember the pain in the a.... scene with Kira)

There are a lot of Trek characters I like, but at the very top I'd probably put:

Spock, Odo, Phlox, Reed (not listed). I picked Odo.

When I was a kid. Spock was by far my favorite. But as an adult I realized that Kirk had all of the fun. So now it's Kirk.

Couldn't possibly pick a single favourite, but Brent Spiner delivered a pretty awe-inspiring range of comedy, thrills, drama and cheese as Data, so I voted for him.

That's a long list! I'd never thought about it before, but if I had assumed how many characters there had been across the board, I'd have probably guessed twenty or so. That list is almost twice that!

My votes goes to Picard. My favourite often changes, but I just feel like watching some good Picard episodes. He must be (one of) the most intellectual characters on the show, and I think it´s a pleasure to watch him.

So I put Picard on 8 votes ... getting close to Kirk´s 11 votes. We can do it guys! Vote for Picard

My honourable mention goes to Neelix. Back in the day I used to HATE him. I thought he was a Jar Jar. But he's not. He's a real character with a story, a cheerful guy with fashion taste rivaling Quark's
