Favorite Sisko Quotes...

From Trials and Tribble-ations [Following Dax's comments about Spock]

Simply...

"Let's go!"

*closes the hatch*

:D

I don't remember the ep, but I believe it was Sisko reacting badly to Weyoun's bullshit:

"I don't like the Dominion, I don't like what it stands for, and I don't like you. So let's skip the pleasantries and stick to business!"

When he and Dukat speak shortly after Cardassia joined the Dominion.

SISKO: Still calling yourself Gul. I thought you would've promoted yourself back to Legate by now.
DUKAT: I prefer the term Gul. Much more, hands on, hmm? And so much less pretentious than the other alternatives . . . president, first minister . . . EMISSARY!
SISKO: How about "Dominion puppet?"

And when Sisko says to Jake in The Visitor, "It's life, Jake. You can miss it if you don't open your eyes."

RR

Worf: "Life is a great deal more complicated in this red uniform."
Sisko: 'Wait til you get four pips on that collar. You'll wish you'd taken up botany."

When Quark and Rom accidentally break into Sisko's office.
Sisko: "May I help you gentlemen?"
Quark: "Must have taken a wrong turn."
Sisko: "It looks that way."

My fave Sisko quotation is IMO also the very best line in all of Trek:

"Computer...erase that entire personal log."

My second fave is when he says "Works for me!" to Quark, just after he starts to stand up while looking like he is going to continue giving Quark a hard time. I love the subtlety of how that humorously conveys that the Sisko really likes Quark, although he wouldn't say so with words. Very good acting by Brooks there.

My third fave is when he tells Worf that sometimes they have to lose their lives as SF officers due to taking precautions that might put their lives in jeopardy.

My fourth fave is when he tells Bashir that even if he was certain he'd lose the war and there would be massive casualties, he'd still fight it anyway just so future generations would know what their daddy was made of.

My fifth fave is when he tells his dad that "It just doesn't work like that" after his dad says there is so much space that there isn't any reason to fight over it. That is a very poignant metaphor for how life works.

I remember ALL of those and yes...they were great. Avery takes a lot of abuse from SOME fans, as does shatner. But I like their unique delivery.

Rob

"I want to know why my science officer is being transferred without my consent! I want to know why my chief of operations is lying in the infirmary while the Jem'Hadar who beat him is free to walk the station! And I want to know why the Federation is willing to risk a war with the Romulans to form and alliance with a group of people that we hardly know and BARELY trust!"

"But you get on my nerves.... and I don't like your hat!"

The first is from "The Search, Part II" and the second is from "Past Tense, Part II"

I always loved Sisko's explaination to the Prophets how baseball can be seen as a metaphor for the human condition..well written!

When listening to an automated recording on the station left by Dukat.

"You know, I never knew how much this man's voice annoyed me."

From "The Magnificent Ferengi..."

"Can I help you gentlemen?.." A moment later. "It looks that way..." His deadpan delivery was hilarious.

Yep! "The point is . . . it's linear!"

When listening to an automated recording on the station left by Dukat.

"You know, I never knew how much this man's voice annoyed me."

Ha! Sisko was always saying sarcastic stuff!

Another of my faves is from To The Death. It's after he and Omet'iklan have broken up the fight between Worf and the second. Omet'iklan kills him, Sisko confines Worf to quarters, and they're arguing over their respective methods of discipline.

OMET'IKLAN: You call that, discipline?
SISKO: A dead man can't learn from his mistakes.

From "Improbable Cause", when Worf promises to kill Garak at the first sign of treachery, but leave the body intact:

"I assume that's a joke...."

From Through the Looking Glass:

"Just their propaganda machine ...working overtime!"

Also, I love the way he laughs as Dr. Noah in Our Man Bashir. Just a high pitched, "HA!"

From The Thong Song:

"I like it when the beat goes da na da na
Baby make your booty go da na da na
Girl I know you wanna show da na da na
That thong th thong thong thong"

Through the Looking Glass.Sisko-"What my wife thinks of me is none of your concern!"

Battle Lines.Sisko-"Major, when you're through feeling underappreciated, perhaps you'd join me in welcoming the Kai aboard."

One of my favs Duet Dukat-"This Bajoran obsession with alleged Cardassian improprieties during the occupation is really quite distasteful."
Sisko-"I suppose if you're Bajoran, so was the occupation."

Past Tense Part Deux. Biddle Coleridge -"I thought we were on the same side here!" Sisko aka Bell-"We are, but you get on my nerves... and I don't like your hat."

ill be back when they declare life on a planet in 2 years.I probaly wont.

And I am from vulcan Alberta as my certificate states which is pretty fnny.
