Favorite season of Friday Nights Lights

Which is your favorite season of Friday Nights Lights and what makes it you favorite?

Honestly, that's a really tough question. Except for the relatively sub-par Season 2, every season was stellar and could make an argument I think for being "the best." In the end I went with Season 5 because the ending was so exquisite.

It's funny because when things changed so massively between Seasons Three and Four I wasn't sure how well they'd handle things and if the characters they introduced could match up to Saracen, Tyra, Lyla, and Street.

And having Tim Riggins play such a minimal role in Season 5 was ballsy.

Oh me of little faith.

I have only seen Seasons 1-3, but Season 1 would be my favorite. Favorite episode is Mud Bowl. That scene with the cows gets me every time.

I'm working on the forth season now. This far I'd say the third, but it's very much of a tossup.

I haven't seen the last season yet, but out of 1-4, I'd have to go with season 1.

Season 1 sits up there in my very exclusive "Perfect Season" group.

Right next to Season 4 of The Wire, Season 2 of Carnivale, Season 1 of Deadwood, Season 3 of Breaking Bad, Season 5 of The Sopranos... perfect runs of episodes with no crap, no filler, no poor or weak episodes, just pure book-style storytelling.

Though Season 4 was pretty damned stellar too.

Now, as I've not watched it yet... onto Season 5!!

Season 2 was a disaster but every other season was for the most part excellent. I'll pick Season 4 because of all the changes that happened in the show during that time.

What an amazing show!

The first half of season 2 was terrible though. It started rebounding during the second half.

Best season... I'm going to go with Season 1... but Season 4 and 5 were also really good. Great interesting stuff with East Dillon.
