We have to lighten the mood. We just have to. What was your favorite scene in Season 2? I have to put some thought into mine, but I wanted to get the ball rolling.

"Such Sweet Sorrow, Part I". Tilly tells Burnham she doesn't want to say goodbye. Then they leave their quarters and everyone standing outside says they're going with Burnham.

You know I think I am going with Connolly's death as well. If it wasn't that it would be Pike seeing his future self or the final space battle in the season final.

Ugh...tough choices. These come to mind:

Pike sees Vina's Projection Aboard the Enterprise (If Memory Serves)
    Ariam's Death Scene (Project Daedalus)
Culber Is Revealed (Saints of Imperfection)
Saru and Burnham in Saru's Quarters (Obol For Charon)
Pike Faces His Future (Valley of Shadows)

I liked where Burnham figured out that *she* had to send the signals in order to get out of the time loop.

I endorse many of those mentioned so far. As for mine, I haven’t got episodes specifically set in my head, so I’m afraid I can’t provide specific references, but the following stick in my mind:

    - Tilly’s Mae-inspired freak-out during the assessment
    - The Emperor vs the Princess, and Pike’s oh-so-smooth welcome of the Princess
    - The bonding moment between Tilly and Stamets
    - Linus and the word games
    - Pretty much every moment featuring Dr Burnham. She’d better be in season 3!
    - The Burnham/Spock banter over a chess set
    - The Tyler/Culber confrontation
    - Reno’s relationship advice

The scene where Vina talks to Pike. It was the follow up to The Cage that I didn't know I wanted but appreciated all the same.

Spock and Michael's game of 3D chess.

Pike's future vision and his reaction (even though it was ultimately fanwank and meant nothing to the bigger story)

    Michael's time jump sequence.

Wow, now that I actually have to choose, it's so damn hard to actually pick one from all the scenes I've liked. These stick to my mind, however (at least right now):

    • Pike's whole introductory sequence in Brother. A long, uninterrupted sequence of comedy gold that immediately endeared me to him and convinced me he was exactly the captain the Discovery needed at the time.
    • Burnham's chess game discussion with Spock with long overdue, scathing criticism of her chronic hero syndrome and self-blaming tendencies. A cathartic point in her character development.
    • Speaking of catharsis, the realization in An Obol for Charon of what the Sphere actually was, and its last grateful act (showing where Spock went) after Discovery made sure its legacy will live on. A very uplifting, hopeful sci-fi message in true Star Trek fashion.
    • Tilly's pure, unadulterated fury at May when she had the audacity to ask for her help after kidnapping her. It could've turned out too hammy or campy, but Mary Wiseman made it work perfectly. Even with the adrenaline washing all her fidgeting and awkwardness away, it was still perfectly and naturally Tilly.
    • Spock, back in uniform on the Enterprise, seeing a new star on the horizon, finally getting his closure and confirmation that his sister is out there. While it wouldn't have worked as a series ending for me, I still found it a hopeful, very touching note to end the season on. In retrospect, it now seems more like it was actually the Enterprise's send-off, as if to say "this is Discovery's story, but the adventures of the Enterprise will go on."

    Forgot about that!

    "I don't know who I am anymore!"

I enjoyed seeing crew members smile after entering the wormhole in the finale, notwithstanding the uncertainty of what awaits on the other side. To me, that was a truly Trek moment.

    - Vina appearing to Pike
    - Pike seeing his future
    - Burnham's time trip
    - Pretty much all of culber's scenes this season. Wilson Cruz knocked it out of the park
    - The scene where The Enterprise enters warp and Discovery uses the spore drive to travel to Xahea
    - Discovery jumping to Boreth. Such a cool shot of Disco coming out of the jump in front of Boreth's moon.
    - Tilly 'you'd be doing a donut... in a starship!'
    - The first appearance of the Ba'ul in the flesh (or sludge?)
    - Saru in command.

The entirety of the Talosians episode. Huge fan of the pilot with Pike from TOS.
But if I have to pick a scene, when this Pike sees Vina (sp) again. Heart-tugging for me.
